At RELAIS BORGO GENTILE, we wanted to create a place where you are treated with “KINDNESS”, where you do not need to ask all the time, whether or not, there is a Gluten in that dish, because each product inside the farm is strictly certified as gluten free!
A place where you can finally relax and enjoy carefree moments, surrounded by nature and good food!
A small place, away from the city stress, but very close to Rome and easily reachable for a short break (60 km away from Rome’s city centre). Our little RELAIS was born from an idea of a Dietician who is very, very demanding in terms of reception, hygiene and food.
Attention for detail, continuous research for products coming from small farms, accurate hygiene make BORGO GENTILE an ideal place for people who are most sensitive to detail. For those who like to surround themselves with beautiful things, who love comfort, simple luxury, clean, practical and above all, who want to spend in a classy environment, an authentic holiday!
Every product you will find for breakfast is of good quality, preferably organic but especially fresh, controlled and meals prepared for dinner will have as a basis the best ingredients selected and chosen after a careful analysis of companies and after various tests in the kitchen, concerning the eating quality and palatability of the dish.
The Dietician wanted a kitchen where you can see, through the external glass, at all times of the day, the staff who will cook your meals. You will see the Cook knead, roll out the dough or bake your cakes.

Garden products which you can pick yourself, we don’t use any chemical products, soil is fed in a natural way, because it part of our policy, better a few products but good ones, this is the secret for longevity!
You will be the spectators of seriousness, transparency and sincerity all part of BORGO GENTILE RELAIS’s atmosphere.

BREAKFAST

Our breakfast is served from 8:00 am to 10.30 am in order to meet different needs. Wake up to the smell of fresh baked pastries, jams, honey, fruit juices, cow milk, goat milk, rice milk, soy, almond etc, will all be mainly of biological origin.

The organic products served are chosen from the best brands on the market as BAULE VOLANTE, AHILLEA, BIO ISLAND, ALCE NERO, YOGI FEA, QI ORGANIC and many others.

Coffees and cappuccinos will be prepared upon request and using excellent coffee and fresh milk. You can order a cappuccino with soy milk, rice, goat, or with reduced-lactose.
Even orange juice made from fresh oranges prepared at the moment with fresh oranges. The Dietician reminds us that the content of Vitamin C decreases with time.
For those who enjoy an international breakfast a selection of local cheeses and cold meats from nearby Umbria and upon request: sausages, bacon and eggs.


SWEET

Soft “Ciambellone” cake, scented organic jam tarts, hot doughnuts, croissants, muffins, plum cake, swivels and anise cookies, cinnamon, cream, almond, chocolate biscuits. Deserts mixed and cooked in our kitchen and served with love and care and with lots of top quality ingredients. Possibility of cakes without lactose and no eggs to be ordered upon booking. All the bread is prepared in the RELAIS, the aroma of the fresh baked bread gives us a sense of peace, tranquillity, aromas that recall our childhood and are reassuring.


SALTY

The Dietician researched products coming from small farms where they produce like in the past, where animals are raised in the area and fed grazing freely in the sun. The cheeses are mainly organic and produced by small local companies.
The Dietician, in any case, suggests a limited use of these products.


DINNER

Entrance to our restaurant is reserved for the guests of the RELAIS, dinner will be candlelit with classical music in a refined and romantic atmosphere.
Our guests can choose from an à la carte menu an appetizer, first course, second course, vegetables and dessert.
Guests can choose from a menu with local recipes, revised and presented in an inviting and elegant way by our chef.

The Dietician has prepared for YOU a classic menu, a low calorie menu, vegetarian, low in lactose. Moreover, guests with special needs will be able to personally contact the Dietician and together agree on a suitable menu.
The Dietician who has a degree in Dietetics, loves to cook so much as to graduate from the prestigious “CORDON BLUE” School in Rome. She will offer you culinary specialities using garden produce.


BAR SERVICE

We will be glad to serve you your favourite drinks while sitting at one of the tables of the RELAIS. In the warm season you can order fresh fruit juices, refreshing drinks, cocktails, or simply drink a good coffee while enjoying the spectacular landscape of Sabina’s countryside.


OUR AIM

Our guests hopefully will appreciate our serious and professional standards which characterize our small Relais. A small village where you can return to and personally collect magnificent figs and fresh picked fruit.
We would be happy if our clients, through us, would want to purchase products, such as olive oil, wine, vegetables and other produce considering us a good supplier where to stock up your pantry with genuine and really healthy food.
